Rescued from Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region
Arrow was transferred to Indigo Mountain from the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region (HSPPR) after a hiker found him wandering in the mountains west of Colorado Springs. This seems to be yet another case of an irresponsible owner misguidedly thinking Arrow would be better off being set free to be a " wild wolf". Fortunately, Arrow approached a kind soul who took him to HSPPR. He was estimated to be only 4 months old at the time and very scared and hungry.
After some good food and lots of TLC Arrow has rebounded from his traumatic experience. He has grown into a big strapping boy and has been a great companion for little Gizmo. In fact, he has helped to bring her slightly out of her shell. Arrow is a little shy, but does warm up to volunteers. He just loves chest rubs and loves Kong toys. His foray in the "wild" left him with some food aggression issues that have proven to be a little challenging, but we are working on it.
